I run an aviation storeroom and was wondering if it is possible to differentiate between new and used parts with the same part number. So for example, a specific part can be brought into the storeroom brand new straight from the warehouse or in an alternative scenario the part is removed off of an aircraft, refurbished and brought into stock. In practice both parts are the same with the same Part numbers and would both be counted as on hand stock however i need a way to distinguish one from the other. Is this a possibility, Thanks in advance.

You could use Serial Numbers.
Each time you order or move a part, you would need to select (or assign) a serial number.
Record if each part is NEW or USED by adding a property field to the Serial Number model (and add more fields to track other relevant information as needed).
https://www.odoo.com/documentation/17.0/applications/productivity/knowledge/properties.html (although this discusses property fields for Knowledge Articles, the concept and method to add them is identical).
