I installed a module and was working ok, but an extension for it was not working and kinda messed up the module, so I just deleted the module's folders without uninstalling them, I tried to add the folders again and uninstall them manually in odoo, it worked but I still see the modules and the fields in my database, when I try to delete them it doesn't let me, says somethin like, "This column contains module data, and can't be deleted", I want to clarify that the extension of that module required the Employee's app to be installed "hr"r
What can I do? I don't really want to rebuild my database, theres data in my Odoo that my company is running :(
Hi Daniel Medina,
Upgrade the Base module. May be it will work.
Else your module has created some records and that records referenced to another module.
First, you have to delete that referenced record.
Thank you.
well I did that and now I messed everything, I can't even log in... Tried to restore the the odoo's installation folder saved days ago and nothing.
First of all, I am sorry about that.
you must have to keep a duplicate of the db before doing this type of things.
Anyway, we did not have to talk about the past.
If you send the error log, may be I can find the solution.
sorry I didn't mean to make your email public in this answer, I accidentally answered on my email
I did a backup of the database, should I do a fresh install and restore it?
Now it's Okay. But be care full when you handle the forum.
If you did the Backup before the error occurs, you can restore the data.
