Hi all,

Very specific use case for a client selling highly customizable items (in this case Prefab houses).

My client had over a billion of different variants for one product so it was impossible to generate all the possibilities and put a price on it. Thus, we found another way of calculating it: Thanks to the BOM cost.

1. Basically, you install the "product extension" module that allows you to compute a cost price based on the BOM.

2. Using Studio, you create an automated action that triggers on every creation of variants this calculation (as the computation is already a server action, it's easy to create an automated one).

3. Create a pricelist with a formula based on the cost of the product and add -XXX% in the discount which will enable your client to sell with XXX% of margin.

Hope this can help some of you!
