how to build a button in sidebar in tree view when do multi selection in odoo 10?

Hi All,
i want to build a button in sidebar in tree view when user click multi selection in odoo 10.  The button will do something for the selected records.
i want to know how to build this button and how to get the selected record ids?

I believe you are meaning Client Actions, refer any standards objects, for instance have a look at "Mark As Lost" in CRM Opportunity .
