I am artisan; a big part of my work is to write quotations; but they are based on product prices, and quotations of providers. Before using Odoo, I was doing my Bills of materials on Word. But with Odoo, associating word document to quotations may be tricky.
In a first step, I need to write my BOM, which includes over 12 columns (baught price, margin, tax, qt, cost of transport, delay, manufacturer, category, model, version, reseller .... ). Then I write my quotation.
On the other end, months may pass before my customer accepts the quotation; then, I need to recover the BOM from the quotation number.
But even after sending the quotation, the BOM may evolve, because I found a better provider, or a price changed ... so if I just attach the file in Odoo, I fear I may be in trouble editing it later.
How other people solved this need ?
