If Warehouse's Incoming Shipping Route is set to: Receive goods in input, then quality and then stock (3 steps), can I set up this route in such a way, that when goods reach Quality Control location I would have a choice to either send them to Stock location (which is predefined by this route automatically) or to another location of my choice (like Quarantine or Repair place) if the goods failed quality check control.

At the moment it does not allow me to change it from destination location - Stock. So even if the goods are faulty I need to send them to Stock anyway or alternatively completely scrap them (sent automatically to Virtual Location - Scrap).

Hello Izabela,

When you create a route, you create movements that are linked to each other. In the case of a 3-step reception, you will validate your PO and the system will generate a reception in "ready" status and two internal transfers in "waiting" status.

If you want to deviate from your initial route, you have other options:

1. You can validate your receipt and the move from Input to Quality Control. Then, either :
- you cancel the move from Quality Control to Stock if all the products need to go somewhere else than WH/Stock
- you validate the move all for the products that are ok and you click on no back-order option.
For the products that are still in Quality Control, you will create an internal transfer to move them to the repair or quarantine location.

2. You set up the Repair and Quarantine locations as scrap locations so that these locations will be available when you click on the scrap button. The difference between the standard scrap location is that your locations will use the type Internal location and will be under WH.

3. If the inbound flow is all the time different and there is no general rule, it is better to manage the flow manually with the operations and to not use the route in three steps.

I hope that I have helped you! Don't hesitate to contact me if need more information.
