What is the best practice for a partner to give Odoo client access to a staging branch database on Odoo.sh?

I would like the cleint to update the staging database  so that they do their testing with fresh data.

How do I setup the client to allow them to do this backup from Production to staging branch?

Please recommend with the do's and don'ts and best practice.

Hello Ramzi,

If your client already has an access to the production database he already has an account to the staging branch. He can use the same credentials. Just send him the link to the database.

To have fresh data on the staging branch. Drag and drop it to the development stage then back in staging stage. This will update the data based on what is on the production branch.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for this. We already do this.
(assuming the client have access to both Production and staging and htye are not that technical to do a Odoo.sh backup)

I would like to give the client the "easy procedure" that allows THEM (not me) to do the following:

- Client creates backup of Production on staging ('fools' process and one way only).
- Client works on fresh data in staging (try as much as they want).
- Client is happy with the result they will modify the Production (manually)

I, as a Odoo.sh administrator, do not want to do this backup. I want the client to do this so that they can test as much as they want and as far from Odoo.sh as possible (I want to manage Odoo.sh updates and all the rest of the work)
