I am running Odoo v13 Community Edition and I would like to add a few fields to the order line tree in Purchase Order but I need a field that is present in Purchase Order (currency_rate) so I want to use that field to calculate the costs and prices of products in the converted currency of the company.

This is the code for the module I made:

class PurchOrderLine(models.Model):

    _inherit='purchase.order.line'

    x_price_unit = fields.Float(readonly=True, compute="calc_unit_p", string='Unit Price in EGP')

    x_sub_tot = fields.Float(readonly=True, compute="calc_sub_t", string='Subtotal in EGP')

    x_total = fields.Float(readonly=True, compute="calc_total", string='Total in EGP')

    @api.depends('price_unit', 'purchase.order.currency_rate')

    def calc_unit_p(self):

        for p in self:

            p.x_price_unit = price_unit * purchase.order.currency_rate

    @api.depends('price_subtotal', 'purchase.order.currency_rate')

    def calc_sub_t(self):

        for p in self:

            p.x_sub_tot = price_subtotal * purchase.order.currency_rate

    @api.depends('amount_total', 'purchase.order.currency_rate')

    def calc_sub_t(self):

        for p in self:

            p.x_sub_tot = amount_total * purchase.order.currency_rate

This is the error I get while trying to install the module:

Hi,

Your compute functions seems to be written wrongly.

@api.depends('price_unit', 'purchase.order.currency_rate')
def calc_unit_p(self):
for p in self:
p.x_price_unit = price_unit * purchase.order.currency_rate

In the above function, what you mean by putting purchase.order.currency_rate, referring the currency_rate in this model,if so put self.currency_rate or simply currency_rate in decorator.

If you are new to development, check out this and see how to add compute field in odoo:  How to Write Compute Field and its Function in Odoo

Thanks

The thing is that the 'currency_rate' field is in the purchase.order model while these custom fields are inside the purchase.order.model model so I don't know how can I access that field.

Thank you

have you checked the video, i have added

Yes I have watched it and it only contained information about computing functions with all their vairables inside one model
