Just downloaded documents module and I love the Budget Report provided - however it does not include Cost of Goods Sold? It just defaults to Sales Revenue and Expenses and I forecast and track my COGS. How do I add those data points to the report?  Thanks...

Hi Raluca - thanks for your answer and yes I found your post on how to create a dynamic PnL yesterday and it was very helpfu!  For some reason the Sales data is coming in as a negative when I create spreadsheet but it's a positive in the General Ledger.  Is there a way to correct it?

Hey Gavin,

You can just add in your formula on the spreadsheet at the end of the formula *-1 and it will then translate into positive amounts.
Should look something like this: =PIVOT("1","balance","account_id","46","date:month","03/2021")*-1

Hey Gavin,

I had a similar situation when I was trying to get some sort of P&L via the Odoo spreadsheet.

My experience is that Odoo for budget reporting is using 2 categories: 1 and 2. Category 1 seems to be only income accounts and category 2 seems to be only expense type accounts.

Since the COGS is a cost of revenue account it will not allow you to add it.

If the COGS account becomes an expense account you will then be able to show it in the budget spreadsheet.

In my case I had to build my own P&L from the General Ledger and keep only the accounts I actually needed.

Testing in a demo environment when the COGS is an expense type of account you can modify the report and show the data related to it as per below example.

When it's in Cost of Revenue the fields are not filled and they stay blank.

You can maybe refer to my entry I did and try to build your own if the COGS cannot be an expense account: https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/how-to-create-a-dynamic-p-l-with-odoo-spreadsheets-201505

Hope this helps :)
