You need to pay attention to several points :
- Your product has to be set as "storable"
- In your product form, you have to untick the checkbox " continue selling if not stock"
In the Website module, go to the tab " Customize", then "Add Features" and download the modules
-"Shopper's Wishlist"
-"Product Notification Availibility"
-"Product Availibility"
As a result, when a prospective client that is logged in on your website add the out-of-stock product to his wishlist, he will automatically receives a notification when the product is in stock again.
