I would like to attend the Odoo Technical Training:

Technical training

Course summary: This course is dedicated to partners, integrators and developers who need to grasp knowledge of the Odoo development process. This course is for new developers or for IT professionals eager to learn more about the Odoo technical aspects.

Duration: 5 days

Objectives: Having attended this course, participants should be able to:

Understand the development concepts and architecture;
Install and administer Odoo;
Develop a new Odoo module.

Requirements: Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of the Python programming language and an Integrated Development Environment such as Eclipse. Participants preferably have a functional knowledge of the Odoo software.

Here are some ideas:

  1. Implement coaching/blocking/auditing based on organizational business processes / industry mandates.

  2. Leverage the API of Odoo, ORM, to further open up integration (two way) with other business systems.

  3. Leverage the data model of Odoo to close gaps between business documents/processes and Odoo documents/workflows.

  4. Adjust the User Experience - use your own terminology, streamline common workflows to reduce clicks, organize information in ways that map to how users think and work in specific situations.

  5. Extend existing Odoo document fields/buttons to better support information currently living outside Odoo.

  6. Learn how to automatically update KPI's and create new status options (ready, waiting, done, blocked) for different parts of your organizational workflows - eliminating manual work and/or providing more proactive and timely information to the business.  

  7. Develop custom reports for your organization or business.
