I want to configure the employees’ work schedules with the following conditions:

One employee works 40 hours per week, from Monday to Sunday, with a maximum of 8 hours per day, and two days off per week.


Another employee also works from Monday to Sunday, with a maximum of 8 hours per day and two weekly days off, but in this case the total is 30 hours per week.


I would like your help setting up these schedules.

Additionally, when using the Time Off module, if I select a full natural month (30 days), I want the system to count it as 30 days of absence and not fewer. Right now, when selecting a whole natural month, Odoo counts 23 days instead of 30, and I cannot figure out how to fix this.

"Work Scheduled" is not a question. A question is a substantial phrase that ends with "?"

We get close to 1,000 posts a month and not everyone will open a post to find out what your question is.

I have edited your post to make the title a question.

In the future, please consider (1) using a Question that makes it clear what you ask without requiring people to open your post and (2) adding Tags. This will often increase the chances people will respond and also make everything clearer for others who may come along later searching for the same thing.

Failing that, you can paste your future posts into an AI Chatbot and ask it to "please generate a question of no more than 16 words that summarizes what I am asking" and use that as your question.

To configure flexible work schedules in Odoo, create two resource calendars: one for 40 hours/week and another for 30 hours/week, both allowing work from Monday to Sunday with a maximum of 8 hours per day. Assign these calendars to employees via their contracts. Crucially, specify the employee's actual working days within the contract, either using a "Working Schedule" field or a note.

Managing time off requests, especially for a full month, requires attention. Since the resource calendars are flexible, Odoo might not automatically calculate the correct duration. You can either manually adjust the "Duration" field on each time off request to reflect the employee's actual working hours during that period or develop a custom module for automated calculation. Ensure accurate contracts, clear communication with employees, and regular monitoring of time off requests.
