Hello all,
I've started using Odoo in my business and have just migrated my helpdesk tickets from old system to new. I've got IMAP email collection working as well which is great.

However, sometimes somebody sends me a request to my personal email address and I want to create a ticket from this. What I've done in the past is to just copy that email from my personal mailbox to the tickets mailbox and a ticket would be created, but I've noticed Odoo only seems to collect "Unread" emails... so as I'm moving an email I have already read, I need to mark it as unread in the tickets mailbox for it to be collected.
Is there any way to make Odoo collect "Read" emails as well? Of course, this would also require getting Odoo to [re]move emails in the mailbox it has already dealt with - which I would be preferable actually. i.e. once Odoo has created a ticket from the email, delete the original email from the mailbox.

Using Odoo Online v19.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

In Odoo 19 Online, the mail fetch system only processes unread emails by design to prevent duplicates. There’s no built-in option to collect already-read messages or automatically delete them after processing. The best workaround is to mark any forwarded or copied emails as unread before moving them to the ticket mailbox. If you switch to Odoo.sh or on-premise, you can customize the mail fetch behavior to include read emails and auto-remove them once processed.

Hope it helps
