Hello all,

We have a shop page on our website, and our products (lights) have many different variants and options. On the product settings page, each variant has a different SKU/Internal Reference number.

Being that our customers are all trade/contractors, the way they like to work is by part numbers, so they can find the SKU online and send it in a P.O or similar.

Right now, the product internal reference number does not show up when there are many variants.

Does somebody know what HTML template and what part of the code I can add so that on the product page it displays the internal reference number of the selected variant?

I know there are modules but I am using Odoo 17 online, so I am limited to the code I can change there.

Please let me know, thanks!

Did you ever get anywhere with this?

Hey Michael,

No we did not, it seems that to be able to pull the current Internal Reference Number for a given variant selected on the shop page, you need some tricky Java/Python code and you need to dig into parts of Odoo we're not comfortable disturbing yet.

We use Odoo online, and just got Studio which has been a big help, and I think it will be possible but I'll give me devs a little bit to get used to how Odoo works.

I'll let you know if we do find a fix, but for now, if someone adds a product to their cart, the model number will show up there.
