For the last couple of years, we have implemented a Google mail configuration that enables client to send out system notification email using their Gmail account.
Apparently of last month of so, this function has stopped working for newly configured accounts. We suspect this is due to Google's security policy that requires oAuth onscreen authentication flow to validate authorization for google services related to a user's account.
Before customizing this module, I wonder if anyone has develop a module for this yet?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project management
- MRP

Hi Isriyanti Akira,
I assume that you are using the Gmail account for the outgoing email server.
As per google new privacy policy you need to activate the "Less secure app access".
Please check the below screenshot:
Thank you!

Yes we did this long time back. If you have using a current google setup try adding a new one. It no longer accepts it.
Hi Akira,
Please go to Manage your Google Account and select Security
And turn on 2-Step Verification, after that, you will get the option for App passwords
Now create an App password and use that instead of the password in the odoo email configuration settings.
Hope this helps.
