Hi there! Does anyone know an app or any other way to connect Odoo to "ELSTER", the online portal of the German financial authorities? It is for tax replorts. It's a little cringy to use such a mighty ERP and have no Elster functionality ;)

unfortunately, the accounting up to EE14 (15 I do not know yet) is more than disappointing for the German market. It is not only Elster, even minimal legal requirements (eg fixed asset schedule) are not mapped. This is more than disappointing as they claim to attack SAP!
The only option is to find a good implementation partner that offers these functionalities (e.g. OBS, Syscoon or others)
Thanks Thomas, I am gradually coming to the same conclusion. It's the same with the non-existent Datev support. As far as I know all big German Odoo partners offer some kind of Datev integration but not all of them offer ELSTER :/
Please keep looking for an ELSTER-app on "syscoon.com". We will provide an app latest Q1 2022 which will enable you to do the Elster-Transfer automatically via interface.
Please also note that an automatic transfer to ELSTER is not a legal requirement in Germany (although I 100% agree that it is a common requirement from customer side and therefore I do not understand ODOO's inactivity either)
@ Thomas Koliwer: could you specify why the fixed asset register does not meet the requirements? Because Financial Assets are missing? Or because there is no "reclassification" possible? Or is it only because of the format that does not fit 100%? Also regarding Fixed Assets I can recommend some additional apps from syscoon: "Improved Assets" and "Movement Types".

In the Release Note of V. 15 I found: "
Germany
Get functionality for German tax report submissions to Elster."
I tried, but could not see any difference in Tax Report to 14. Anyone can help?
Same here Thomas, it seems we can download the xml file, but the transfer/upload of that xml file - we need to do ourself manually from the elster portal.
