Hello, I am setting-up Odoo V14 CE and run in an issue with the forecast when using Multiple BoMs.
We have 8 Semi-manufactured products (SMFG) which are configured “BoM Type: Manufacture this product”, set as Storable Product. Each of these BoMs contain 4 BoMs set as “BoM Type: kit” One of the BoMs is used in each SMFG.
So we have:
SMFG1 SMFG2 SMFG….x
BoM1a BoM1a BoM1a
BoM2a BoM2b BoM….xx
part-a part-a part-a
part-b part-b part-b
…. … ……
…. … ……
BoM3a BoM3b BoM….xx
part-c part-c part-c
…. … ……
…. … ……
BoM4a BoM4b BoM….xx
part-d part-d part-d
…. … ……
…. … ……
When I make an production order for say 10 x SMFG1 and I look to the forecast in the product list, than all individual parts are the correct according to the parts and quantities that are stated in the BoMs. Also when I go to Inventory --> Replenishment all data is correct as well.
When I go to my 'product list' and I check the forecast for the BoM kits than there is an error and all BoMs have been forecasted. The forecast gives following:
BoM1a 10
BoM2a 10
BoM3a 10
BoM4a 10
BoM2b 10
BoM3b 10
BoM4b 10
BoMxx 10
BoMxx 10
BoMxx 10
I have figured out that the issue is caused by part-a, part-b, part-c and part-d. When I remove these items from the BoMs, the forecast works fine.
I am not an inventory expert, so my questions is whether this normal behaviour or do I something wrong or is this simply a bug in the program?
I am looking forward to your feedback.
Regards, Wiebren
