I am new, anc currently looking for a suitable platform to manage a small fleet of buses, that go to tours. So, I need to know the available buses that match to a certain specific criteria, know where they are now, who's the owner and the driver, combine multiple bus/drivers on a given tour, etc.

Not sure if the fleet management module is the best approach, as this is more close to resource planning where one of the   resources is a vehicle.

Is Odoo a good platform to build something to fulfill these requirments? Can someone give me kick, where to start?

I have a fleet company. i am using odoo for the last couple of years.odoo is the best software for tracking your vehicle. but I am using another fleet tracking software Flotilla IoT.it is less expensive than odoo. Flotilla IoT have all these features in odoo.i recommend you please use flotilla IoT Fleet Tracking software.

Godd functions, how about not shared vehicules in multi company config ? I tried the serpent fleet_management but vehicules are shared between coompanies, any sugget ?
