I am trying to locate the account_id (used in a journal entry) number.

Am I wrong in saying the account_id is the COA number?

I am trying to create a Journal entry via external API (XML-RPC).

I want to figure out the following account_id of 7. Is this the COA code for Receivables? If yes where do I find this?

Example Python code:

                  'account_id': 7, #Receivables

Are you referring to the account code highlighted in the screenshot? 


If so, please navigate to 'Accounting' -> 'Configuration' -> 'Chart of Accounts.' There, you can find the master.
