Here you can change you excel report from .xls extension to csv.

PS: Be sure you have respected all the attributes of your table (name specially).

Export the data and select the information you need like name, description ... , and in excel you convert
You add in excel the information you need import in odoo . 
When you import in odoo you choose enconding : CSV and separator :semicolon

And you import , all of the data in excel are in odoo

Import excel of export? You wrote 'import', confuses everyone.

You must try by Aeroo reports. See SerpentCS website for tips of Aeroo.
