Hello,

when I create an event, the event is not yet "confirmed". And then I have the possibility to "confirm" or "cancel" the event. And I see, that an event can be published on the website and also tickets can be sold, even when the event is not "confirmed". And I wonder, what is the effect of the "conformation" of an event.

Can anybody tell me, what this "confirmation" does?

Are the event's emails sent out to my participants only when the event is "confirmed"? (our mailserver is not configured yet, so I can't try it out ...)

Is this a possibility to "activate" the event only when my minimum number of participants has been reached?

I would be very thankful for every information which can help me to understand better, what the event's confirmation-status is about.

(this is not about the confirmation of the participant but of the event - participant is very clear and I understand it).

I'm using Odoo 12.0.

Hello, if your event is in:

-  Draft it can be published but in the registration page you will see a "Event registration not yet started"

- Confirmed users now can Register/Buy tickets to your event
