HI, i have installed odoo 10 from a .deb file in Ubuntu server 16.04 x86.

I rebooted the system, but when i open odoo from the terminal i got this error:

What does this means? I new at odoo, just for learning.

It means that Odoo is already running, because when using the package installer, Odoo is already set up as a system service which starts automatically after a reboot.

If you want to manually start Odoo, you have to stop the service first:

$ sudo service odoo stop
