I am using the CRM, and I would like all emails that are sent to a customer or lead from inside Odoo to be saved to the customer notes/log. But I find that emails are only saved to the customer log if they are sent from the customer page, not if sent from invoice page or emails page or calendar page etc. If I email an invoice to a customer from the invoice page, I don't see any record on the customer history. Can I change some settings or something to make this happen, or is it not possible in Odoo8?
I also want to associate incoming emails from existing customers to their customer log, and I found a module: https://apps.openerp.com/apps/modules/8.0/fetchmail_attach_from_folder/ but it's not clear to me how to create an action that associates incoming mail with a partner/customer or that creates a task or other workflow.
Has anyone had experience using this module?
I can see all outgoing emails in Messaging > Messaging > Archives but most of those emails are not visible on Sales > Sales > Customers > (Name of customer), which is where I want to see them. Is this something I can change in settings?
In 2013 there was an answer https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/how-can-i-configure-the-history-tab-in-customer-view-27347#answer_27381 that said it's necessary to change the code to do this. Is that still true?
