Hi,

I have a question about the edition comparision chart at https://www.odoo.com/de_DE/editions:

A lot of features are marked as "not vailable" in the community edition.
For example the "Accounting dashboard" is not available in community edition. Does that mean it is not available at all and forever, or does that mean that this module is not installed/configured by default but it is possible to install it from the repositories and configure it by myself?

Thanks a lot,

Alex

Ok thanks for your answer! If I understand correctly, there is no guarantee for any modules to become available in community edition. Is it because Odoo 9 is brand new and modules are not ready yet or is it a change in license policy at all? I always wanted to use Odoo in my small company but because the lack of time I didn't, yet. Now I'm totally uncertain about starting to use Odoo at all. I loosely follow Odoo since OpenERP 5.x and it becomes more and more restrictive - where does the road end? Even if I use  Odoo 8 now (I think there are still all the modules included, aren't they?) it needs to be updated in some time. Confused.... EDIT: Arrrgh.., why is my answer above the answer from Axel? Do I need some karma? Can someone give me karma please so that I can use the comment function....?

Odoo 9 saw the change in the way the software was being released. Odoo Community is the core open-source version, Odoo Enterprise is the shared-source (shared to partners, paying customers) version. P.S. Comment on his answer, not your question.

That means that is only available to the enterprise edition, for the moment, maybe in the future became as a paid module or someone develop a module with similar features for the community
