I'm wondering if there's an established method whereby you run main Odoo on-site, on the business's LAN behind a firewall, and run just Odoo eCommerce on a hosting provider. That way the bulk of the sensitive data is not on the public web, but eCommerce is on a sensible host for bandwidth.
This presumably would require running some fraction of the Odoo modules on the external host, and some scheme to synchronize the eCommerce-relevant data between the two systems.
Is there a known path for this? Thanks.
I note this question has been asked a couple of times before, with no answer.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP
