Would anyone have any tips or pointers on how to create a Dynamic Dashboard with these 5 KPI's


Total amount of live trading accounts in the month (active accounts)

Total Sales order value in current month

Total Sales order GP% in current month

Total Stock Value

Total amount Overdue 

Thanks for any pointers

Hi,

For a fully dynamic dashboard, the best approach is to build a custom module where all KPIs are computed and displayed from backend logic.

First, you define a dedicated model (or use an existing one) that will act as the dashboard data source. In this model, you create fields for each KPI such as monthly sales, GP%, stock value, overdue amount, etc.

Next, you implement compute methods in Python. These methods query the relevant models (Sales Orders, Account Moves, Stock, etc.), apply filters like “current month” or “active accounts,” and calculate the required values. This ensures your KPIs are always based on real-time data.

Then, you create a custom dashboard view (usually a kanban-style layout or OWL-based UI) to display all KPIs in a single screen with proper formatting.

For performance, if calculations are heavy, you can use scheduled actions (cron jobs) to update values periodically instead of computing them on every load.

This approach gives you full control over logic, layout, and scalability, making it ideal for combining multiple KPIs into one dynamic dashboard.
