Hi,

I have tested the following on Odoo 10 and Odoo12.

I have a setup for Dropshipping as described in this post: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/user/12.0/inventory/management/delivery/dropshipping.html

Now when I create a Sales Order with a product that should be dropshipped Odoo creates a Purchase Order for the seller and after confirmation of this PO the item should be confirmed under Dropship in Inventory.

When I open the shipping in inventory however the partner of this shipment is the dropshipper and not the customer of the product.

How is the dropshipper supposed to know where to send the items to.

I expected that the partner in the dropship would be the customer who purchased the product.

Or am I doing something wrong?

In Odoo 12 onwards, the customer name should be in the "Other Information" tab on the RFQ/PO:

The customer address also shows on the printed PO (pdf)

Hi and thank you for your reply. I did not mean in the PO. I meant in the Delivery Order. In my Delivery Order under Dropshipping the Partner is set to Azure Interior (taking your info from above). In my opinion it should be Deco Addict.

In addition. Could you please share your setup. I don't set the info regarding Drop Ship Address in PO either.

Chris TRINGHAM

Drop Shipment doesn't use a Delivery Order. Instead there's a 'Drop Shipment' transaction (defined in Inventory). This doesn't show the customer, but the information is on both the Sales Order and Purchase Order, so it would be easy to add as a Related Field.

As far as I know, this works in Odoo 12-14 in both Community and Enterprise. I haven't done any special setup.

Thank you a lot.

Well indeed I called the Dropshipment a Delivery Order even though it might be not the same.

What I am trying to achieve is to give access to the Partner (Dropshipper) to his Dropshipping orders in our Odoo instance and let him ship parcels using our Delivery methods etc. to our customers directly from his warehouse. I was therefore wondering why in the Dropshipment there is no information regarding the customer. However indeed we can take it from the SO. Checking on Runbot Odoo13 I unfortunately still can not see the customer address in the automatic generated PO. I wonder if the info is there but you might have a different template which shows the info. It seems I have no rights yet to upload a photo with my comment.

I added a screenshot of the address section of a Drop Shipment PO, which shows the customer address (this is the standard template).

Yes I also see the shipping address in the printed PO. Just not seeing the info which you shared in the first picture which you put a blue square around.

So basically I will need to ask a developer to forward the Shipping address also to the Dropshipping and use it there.
