Some app or component installed or uninstalled must have mucked up the dropdown lists functionality all over an odoo installation.

They only show one line's worth of content and it's a pain to scroll in them. The keyboard up and down arrows won't even make sense as they go off the limits of the dropdown list box. See this picture:

the expected behaviour should be like this (tested on a fresh installation of the same version of oddo - 16)


Can someone point me to the place I should look into this to reset these DDLB's to the original? Or else just how to resolve this pesky issue.

Well hello all!

After a long slur of looking into js, ui code in several modules I had to revert to the procedural installing and uninstalling of apps and I finally discovered the culprit and can sleep better now.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the App:

Caused the overriding of the dropdown list box behaviour I described in my first post.

I urge Cybrosis to look into this and I am happy to help in whatever way I can.

For now, unfortunately, it's use is a no no.

I can confirm the same behavior with the pos_report_generator (POS All in One Report Generator), it is generating the same awkward style in dropdown lists.
