We have been accustomed to using "SalesForce Inbox"(that is literally a sidebar on Gmail, its a Chrome extension, and allows multiple features that are critical to email heavy users) , but need something more involved in a CRM/ERP solution. We really enjoy having Gmail open and sending new contact/lead/opportunity we choose to SalesForce. I understand we can automate it in Odoo, but the issue is 75% of our emails are spam and do not need to become a lead or something else automatically. What is out there for us to try or is there something in development that we can sign up for Beta to test and see what works for us.

That answer is so helpful. Now I will send another 4 hours searching for a solution that does not exist and asks maybe someone in Sales that would treat a prospect with a little bit more care.

I think your rationale is a bit more directed to uneducated app developers and not potential customers of Odoo, but thanks for your assistance, I am sure this will help me make my decision of buying into this software much easier.

Please make yourself familiar with your competition and their functionality and lack of functionality first, then try to serve a specific solution to the customer.

Well. I am not familiar, but I am asking a question to get an answer, not a snide remark that I am not educated enough at this point. I am asking for assistance and what your reply is not much more than trolling new users. Not much of assistance from the actual developer with a remark like this. I have looked.... and your software doesn't have anything within the multiple apps I have installed that will manage email in this way.. or that I could easily find. Hence my question... that from this Odoo Board admin is ... "not a real question"?? Are you offended if mentioned another CRM? Is this appropriate for a potential new customer.. In my opinion, you could really benefit in some Sales Lead training, but thanks for the help in advance. (you are definitely helping our company decide on which software to use.)
