If your website is accessible on a PC but not on a phone, and you're encountering a DNS problem specifically on your mobile device, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Clear Phone's DNS Cache: Sometimes, the DNS cache on your phone might be causing the issue. Try clearing your phone's DNS cache:

    • On Android: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced > Private DNS > Turn off Private DNS.
    • On iOS: There's no direct way to clear DNS cache, but you can try restarting your device or using a VPN app to force DNS resolution.
  2. Check Mobile Data/Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure your phone has a stable internet connection, whether through mobile data or Wi-Fi. Sometimes a weak or unstable connection can lead to DNS problems.

  3. Flush DNS on Your Phone: Some phones allow you to flush the DNS cache. Check if your phone has this option and use it to clear the cache.

  4. Wait for DNS Propagation: After making changes to your domain's DNS settings, it can take some time for the changes to propagate throughout the internet. This process usually takes a few hours but can sometimes take up to 48 hours.

  5. Check DNS Configuration: Double-check your DNS configuration settings with Namecheap. Make sure that the DNS settings are correctly pointing to your Odoo instance's IP address.

  6. Check Mobile Browser: If you're using a specific browser on your phone to access the website, try a different browser to see if the issue persists. It could be a browser-specific problem.

  7. Check Firewall/Security Apps: Sometimes security apps or firewalls on your phone can interfere with DNS resolution. Check if any such apps are causing the issue.

  8. Contact Namecheap Support: If you've tried the above steps and the issue persists, it might be a specific issue with your domain or DNS settings at Namecheap. Contact their support for assistance.

  9. Test on Different Phones/Networks: If possible, try accessing the website on different mobile devices and networks. This will help determine if the issue is specific to your phone or a broader problem.

  10. Use Mobile Data vs. Wi-Fi: Test whether you can access the website using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi, or vice versa. This can help identify if the issue is related to a specific network.

  11. Use Online DNS Checkers: You can use online DNS checking tools to verify if your domain's DNS records are correctly set up and propagated.

Remember that troubleshooting DNS issues can be a bit complex, and the solutions might vary depending on your specific situation. If the problem persists, reaching out to both your domain provider (Namecheap) and your hosting provider (if separate from Namecheap) for support can be a good idea.
