Disable email notification when mass import tasks

Question

Hello community members,

I want to disable all notifications when Importing Tasks with assigned users filled, I have more than 500 tasks in a CSV file and I don't want to flood the users with emails

My Odoo version is 16.0

I found a different approach in a different post here in the forum.
The solution consists to add an outgoing mail server with "localhost" as smtp and a priority 0, which will not send the emails after import. Then turn to the previous outgoing server which is working.
This is the quickest and best solution I found to avoid sending mails when Importing a lot of tasks.

There is no way to disable email notification when mass import tasks. However, you can disable email notifications for any task individually by unchecking the 'Notify me' option for that task.
