Hi,

Is it possible to maintain single chart of accounts for many branches.

User at respective branch need to see the reports of entries passsed at that branch.

it is usually use different COA for each companies. It is technically possible but functions creates some conflicts related with consolidation reports, numbering methods, and other reporting aspects, difficult to know accounts related with which company. I am replying functionally and technically i don't know much.

Hi,

I will suggest you to use separate COA for all the branches. So for all the branches you have create COA for it. Then create a parent company having access to all these companies. So while taking the report from this, it will be the sum of its child companies.


When you taking the report from the branch, ie from the child companies, it will be the report of that company only.

if you want to manage in single company then you can try Operating Unit Module by OCA
