Hello,
I would like to deploy odoo (POS) for a restaurant.
The Touch Station is on (Ubuntu 16.04)

I have custom modules
 - Network Printing
 - Fiscal floor customs

My question is: Can I do without the posbox since the touch is on ubuntu? if so how to proceed.

In addition, can I deploy odoo on the computer or plan a server?

the restaurant does not have internet access and a single billing station 2 printers (A billing printer and a printer in the kitchen for orders.)

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi there, I am also setting up Odoo POS for upcoming client's restaurant. I'm setting it up using Raspberry Pi

With your case, I think it's possible for the touch to operate. I think it really just depend of which device you are running it. If that device supports touch, you should be alright

If the restaurant does not have internet access, just set up a local server and connect to it via LAN from a touch-capable device ( an Android tablet perhaps )

As for the printing, yes Odoo POS definitely capable of making use the 2 billing station printers. you just set it up on the POS Settings

thanks for your answer,
if I understand correctly, can i install odoo directly on the touch station?
moreover printing on several printers I am no longer forced to go through a PosBox (Raspberry)?
if install odoo on the raspberry is perhaps better than the touch station what do you think?
Thank you very much !

I have never used a touch station before. I am not sure if you can install Odoo / PosBox on it either

What I know is that you can hook up the printers to the Touch station, and just use an external server where it's hosting Odoo for the Touch station to access it too. then you're all set
