Hi all,
I was using version 19.0 until a couple of days ago. I have zero customization on my database. I noticed the newer version decided to upgrade. 19.0 to 19.1 went smooth.
I did quick tests, it was fine. I rolled the 19.1 test into production.
After the roll out into production, I noticed that there is 19.2 upgrade available. So, I initiated the upgrade. I finished the upgrade. I took a look around. Everything looked OK. So, I rolled 19.2 into production.
Right now I am stuck at version: saas-19.2. I cannot see the web view of my products. Anytime I click on it, it says "Internal Server Error. The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application."
I see that 19.3 version is available. I tried to upgrade thinking maybe 19.3 would not have this issue. The upgrade did not go through. I got an email with a page full of codes. Right now, it does not upgrade to 19.3. The email asked me to issue a service ticket.
I reached out to support. So, far no news. I don't think anyone is looking into it. I am stranded.
My options right now:
1-Stay stranded. Wait until support gets back to me however long later.
2-Fortunately, I created a backup and downloaded it while I was still in version 19.0. I can go back to it. However, I don't know how to do it. I can take a stab at it.
My questions are
1-Is anyone familiar with these issues? If so, do they know any quick fixes, so that I can continue with my work?
2-Does anyone know a step-by-step guide to recover my saas database from my downloaded backup? Do you guys think I should give it a shot?
3-Does anyone know why the support is taking so long??? I am stranded here and I am not seeing any sense of urgency from odoo... any recommendations?
Hello,
I understand the issue you're facing.
Please note:
-> Since your database is on Odoo Online, reverting to version 19.0 from your side is not possible.
-> The fastest recovery option is to restore your 19.0 backup on an on-premise server or Odoo.sh and continue operations there. (Recommended)
-> In parallel, keep the support ticket open with Odoo S.A. so they can either fix the issue in your current database or restore your backup on their side.
-> For future upgrades, avoid triggering minor version upgrades immediately. It’s better to wait until the release is stable before applying it.
We'd be happy to help out with this.
Thanks
