Dear Odoo-users,
First I want to start off with something else that is an addition to this problem. Am I correct to say that the dashboard app currently is very limited? It has no option to make dashboard templates and share them among users, nor can you do one company-wide or per multi-company. It is all user per user basis. You also cannot make a dashboard for other users if you are not on that account. Correct? Does anyone have a module that could help these issues? However, my problem is not about this.
Currently, I am the administrator of a multi-company Odoo server but I am running into a problem. I made a dashboard that shows the open PO's and SO's for one of the companies and it works perfectly. But when I change from company A to company B the Dashboard template comes with me, WITH the orders from company A. However, it gets even more interesting; not all orders come with for every company. For company B, all PO's and SO's show from company A. For company C, not all PO's show, and no SO's show. For company D, nothing shows, just an empty template.
When I am in company B and I click on one of the PO's from company A it gives an error message that it is likely a multi-company issue. Well, that is correct, it is. You aren't allowed in there. Good. However, you can still see the total amount of the PO. Somehow, somewhere, there is a link between a number of the companies in the multi-company system that should be blocked. This means that even other users can somehow see the price of a PO that is not meant for their eyes. I first thought that this might have to do with the client, as they do share the same customer base. But this wouldn't explain why it would show for some and not for others. Also when clicking on one of the customers per company, it only shows THEIR purchases, not the others.
Maybe a Dashboard Module is needed to fix my first remark, and thus resolve the second? I wonder if there is another link somewhere that other users can see these PO's even without Dashboards. Maybe another 'leak'?
It is a bit difficult to explain my apologies.
