In Australia, the standard Fiscal/Tax year is 1st July - 30th June. However when the quarterly BAS Tax Report is generated, it will state the Calendar Quarter in the generated report, not the Fiscal Quarter. Is there any way, in Odoo V17 online, to modify this so that we can get something that is more correct, either displaying the correct fiscal quarter, or at least the actual date range?
By way of example, if I generate a Tax Report for Fiscal Q2 2023/2024 (1st Oct - 31st Dec), the report will be generated with the correct data, however the report will have a heading of "Q4 2023", which correct from a Calendar year, is wrong from a Tax/Accounting point of view.
If we could customise this to state "Q2 2024", this would be ideal. Failing that, if we could just have the report state "1/10/2023 - 31/12/2023", and not automatically replace the date range with the calendar quarter, this would also work.
I've raised a support ticket on this with Odoo (V16), however have been informed that...
- "I would like to inform you that we can not consider this as a bug, currently, this is the limitation in Odoo. This is the current limitation of our standard Odoo."
Any way to customise this report to change this behaviour will make my accountant happy, and less confused.
Thanks in advance
Steve
