We are company producing chairs. For some of the upholstered chairs we are using customer owned materials. We would like to know is there a way after the SO is created and one of the attribute values is set to CUstomer owned material to automatically trigger condition where we should be following was this material delivered from our customer? , when? 

So basically we need to be able to receive the customer owned material, to know to which SO is assigned, and what date was received and etc.
