Hi all and thanks for your support!

We're an importer company that mainly imports goods from China and we're considering to move to odoo. We place purchase orders 4 to 6 months earlier than receiving them. Then, the specified exchange rate (USD/EUR) in the RFQ makes no sense with the final exchange rate that we must use.

We buy dollars and we also use exchange rate insurances and then based on different criteria we must assign different rates at receiving goods process. We also handle landed costs applied in different PO which come consolidated in the same shipment.

As far as we've researched, landed costs work well in v15 (split landed costs and update properly AVCO) and we can adapt to it to minimize customizations. The only thing we miss is how to define the exchange rate. The easiest workaround should be to specify it in the landed cost definition process.

Any suggestions on how to do it? We've researched third-party modules but with no success.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

You can make an automation of exchange rate through accounting app linked with account ( gains and losses exchanges ) it will effect in your Balance Sheet

the automation can be integrate with Bank Api with daily updates of exchanges rates
