We are having problems synchronizing our bank accounts (chart of accounts) with our Odoo Journals.
We have created an account in our Chart of Accounts for each bank account.
We have created a Journal for each bank account, to include their account number.
We have created a Credit Card in the Chart of Accounts and created an associated 'Bank' for the credit card in the Journals.
We are in the USA and are using Plaid to connect with the bank. This connection is normally successful and brings up a list of our bank accounts.
When we try to synchronize the bank account (as listed after the successful synchronization), it asks us which journal to synchronize with. When we press the dropdown to see the various journals, not all of them appear. We suspect that journals that have already been synchronized in prior attempts do not show up.
After repeated attempts, we have managed to synchronize two bank accounts with our journals and those seem to be working fine. Our problem seems to be with the credit card.
In the journal used for the credit card, we are using the full credit card number as the account number (16 digits). During the synchronization process, however, when we try to match up the credit card shown through Plaid, the associated journal does not appear. We have tried to create a new journal but when we try to synchronize Odoo just runs and runs as if it is downloading the data but, eventually, it just times out and goes back to the Accounting dashboard.
We are apparently doing something wrong but have no idea what that might be. Anyone that has gone through this and can provide an answer will be my hero.
