Good morning, can you give me some advice on how to generate a workday schedule? I'd like to create a shift schedule where each employee works on Saturdays and rests on another day of the week.

To manage a schedule where employees work on Saturdays and take a different weekday off, create a custom Working Schedule in Odoo.

  1. Go to Payroll/Employees → Configuration → Working Schedules and create a new schedule.

  2. Define working hours for all required days, including Saturday.

  3. Remove working hours for the employee's designated weekly off day (e.g., Monday or Wednesday).

  4. Save the schedule.

Next, assign this schedule to employees:

  1. Open the Employees app.

  2. Select an employee and click Edit.

  3. Under Work Information, choose the custom schedule in the Working Hours field.

  4. Save the record.

For more advanced shift planning, Odoo's Planning module can be used to create, assign, and manage shifts visually, including recurring schedules and employee notifications.
