Hi
I´m trying to correclty configure a Zebra GX420t with IoT box in order to print product labels directly from odoo.
The only question is, how? I figured out that I need to use the generic text-only printer driver, otherwise the Zebra won´t accept ZPL code.
But if the ZPL contains any special letters, iI get following error code:
"Illegal UTF-8 sequence found. Input file perhaps not UTF-8-encoded"
According to the IoT Box overview and a live demo , Zebra printers are supportet "out of the box". There is no information available how to do that properly.
Kind Regards,
Robin Arnoldi

Hi Joe,
as mentioned above, use the "generic text-only" driver.
In the standard settings for the printer I set the character conversion in the options tab to Windows 1252.
After that our special characters seems to print correct. (may differs by region and used character set)
Robin Can you clarify how you went about this? I'm having the same issue with the same printer and I've looked at the standard printer settings in cups and don't see any reference to character conversion??
Thanks in advance,
joe

Figured it out. Had to modify the standard printer settings in CUPS and change the character conversion to the right one
