Hi, my retail clients have multiple addresses. How can Odoo's retail clients store multiple addresses? I know that you can create contact type clients assigned to company type clients and use that contacts for the different client's addresses, but some of my clients are not companies, it is the right way to do it in Odoo v8? Thanks.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

You can create "Contacts & Addresses" for both Individual and Company contacts.
This means you can enter A Person, mark them as an Individual and associate any number of addresses, or contacts with them:
A Person (NYC House),
A Person (London House),
A Person (Billing Address),
B Person (their wife).
The tab "Contacts" is only available when you set the client as a company. How can you add contacts to an individual in Odoo 8?
in v8 - set the record as a Company, add a Contact, then set the record back to not a Company. The Contacts & Addresses tab will always be shown for that record.
It looks like cheating, are you sure that it will not break anything elsewhere in Odoo?
It isn't cheating - it's just how it works, not as intuitive as you expect perhaps?
Although it is a topic with different opinions we want to start to create a new module to add the possibility to handle multiple addresses, emails and phones per partner. If you are still interested feel free to participate at https://github.com/blooparksystems/partner/issues/1. Ideas, approaches, solutions are welcome.
