Is there a way to change a product type from storable product to consumable after an inventory move, without having to archive the product and re-creating it?

Unfortunately, since the products have already been used in sales orders, changing the product type is not possible and is not recommended. Doing so would affect your inventory, accounting, and other reports.

Here are your options:

1) Create new products with the desired type.

2) Alternatively, you can archive the old product and create a new one with the correct type.

Dear, I have the same problem. Unfortunately archiving and creating new article is not an option, as there are already parts lists created as well as purchase supplier and barcodes. This is all lost when copying. It should be possible to convert a consumable article to stock article? Surely this is a normal business activity? First test product (consumable) then buy it again, and set it as stock item...
