I can edit and change the delivery address of a confirmed SO.

It gives the warning that i will probably have to edit the DS transfer.


When i go to the referred DS transfer it created a sheduled activity stating:


The delivery address has been changed on the Sales Order
From "XXX" To "YYY", You should probably update the partner on this document.


But i do not really see where i can change the partner on a transfer ?


Am I missing something

Did you check the dropshipping address on RFQ/PO?

Since the product is going to be shipped by vendor to customer, you would need to update the vendor on the change of address manually. None of the documents (SO or DS operations /transfers) are visible to vendor so they wouldn't know of the change.

The scheduled activity is a check point/ reminder of it.

Whether the Vendor is aware of the change is indeed something we can tackle. The problem is that i cant find a way to make the change in Odoo itself. ... The delivery address remains read-only.

That step has already passed and the change is completed in Odoo from SO. Which was the trigger for the activity to be created in Dropship operation.

DS operation does not have the customer delivery field as the shipping labels and delivery documents are to be printed by the vendor, which is outside of Odoo.

The activity exception is created in Odoo as a checkpoint / reminder to pass over the updated delivery address to vendor.
