Hello,

I just had a nasty error trying to log in to my OpenERPv7 Instance, the traceback is as follows:

How can I fix this error? why is a base module having this sort of problem? the worst part is that I can no longer access and therefore cannot make any quotations

Hi,

You might have deleted the currency : "USD" (demo data) which is used as a reference in other module. When you install demo data, make sure that you are not deleting it.

As a solution, you can upgrade the "base" module.

Hello Nehal ! thank you so much for the answer... exactly how can I do that considering that I can't even login with the admin user?

You can start the server with --update / --init argument, such as

openerp-server --update=MODULE_TO_UPDATE --database=YOUR_DB_TO_UPDATE

where MODULE_TO_UPDATE is module name, such as 'base'. You can also assign 'all' to MODULE_TO_UPDATE to update all module. And YOUR_DB_TO_UPDATE is your faulty database name.
