Hi everyone,

We are currently using the Community Version of Odoo 13.0 installed via Docker and it's working just fine so far. We are mainly using the Website, Events and Sales modules.

We now want to extend our Odoo instance by enabling the Accounting and Consolidation modules, which I understand are premium apps which demand a paid subscription.

My questions are..

1. Is it possible to install premium modules on a Community install? (Obviously paying for those modules)

2. If not, can I run a self-hosted instance of the Enterprise version? Or the only way to run Enterprise Odoo is the cloud package they offer?

We are very interested in using Odoo on the long term, but we also want to have control on what we could do with it, so we can extend its services if we need to sometime in the future, that's why having a self-hosted version is a must for us.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I must say that is an awful model on the Odoo side - I literally am choosing not to use the application because of this. Why not make it so people can use the enterprise modules on their community install so they can order it as they like. - Real A-La-Carte.......... Bad design and bad model

Hi,

1. I will explain with an example, suppose if you are using sales, purchase and inventory in your database, and later if you feel that you have to get the odoo studio or odoo enterprise accounting in your database, you cannot  buy this only, suppose if you buy accounting only your database will get updated/upgraded into enterprise database, as a result of this, you have to pay for sales, purchase and inventory also, which initially you were  using as free.

2. Yes you can run self hosted odoo enterprise in your server.

Thanks
