I have an Assembly A which needs either part X or part Y based on availability. How can I create this link between alternative parts?

Dear Mahima Srivastav,
You can Create multiple bill of material in one product. if you want to select bom2 instead of default bom1 based on availability, then you have choice in drop-down list in draft manufacturing order.

After I've confirmed a Manufacturing Order, can I change the Bill of Material?
Default you can't change the BOM after confirmation. You need to modify the default code to enable the feature to edit BOM option after confirmation
