I have Created a BOM for the main product and add a by product on the BoM and assign the operation for the by product. but before completing the specified operation the by product was produced. What should i do for that.

Yes, that seems to be correct. The produced qty is updated with To produce qty on the MO. However, you would realize that you are still required to register production during that operation.

In inventory moves you would see the by-product move created on MO confirmation From Virtual Location/ Production To WH/Stock with the status "Available" but this does not update the on hand stock.

On registering production the status on inventory move is updated to 'done' and on hand stock updated.

I think you shoud check the BOMs. In the BOMs, if you set the Byproduct quantity to 0, the quantity by-product will be to 0 when a manufaturer oder is created, . So, when a manufaturer oder is created, the tab Byproduct will shows quantity 0. When manufacture oder has done, you enter the actual quantity of by-product.

If the Manufacturing Order (MO) is in the 'done' state, we can consider the production as completed. We can't finish the MO without completing all the operations. So, how can you say that the by-product was produced before finishing a specific operation?

Could you please explain? Maybe I misunderstood your question.

Yes I can explain you, I just created a MO and check the By Product Tab it shows the qty as to produced and produced. Once the operation is done. the produced qty should reflect else it should show 0. but when i created the MO the produced qty show the to produced qty. but the manufacturing process was not yet started
