Good Morning Dear Community,

i am starting more or less with a not well established odoo instance which is still running under Version 8.0-2016042, which led me to the point to export the whole database and want to bring it alive under a new host as the whole system is also not well maintained, obviously that didn't run. Installing v8 under an nowadays debian also didn't, so my plan is to export data and import it into new system.

So i installed a fresh dev under debian 10, Odoo 13.0-20200730 and now i want to import mainly all data 1:1 from old system to the new, how can i practically do this the best way or would you prefer to go on v12 as it is easier to upgrade?

many Thanks in advance

For data migration purpose OpenUpgrade in one of the best solution. It is an OCA migration library. You can find the required documentation from the following link.

Hi,

For data migration from the old version to a recent version, I use Talend Data Integration. Data integration software used to connect, view, and transform all types of data.

Best regards!
