Hallo.

Odoo 18

Hello.

I have managed to install an Odoo in the community.

Now I wanted to test it and take my first steps.

Here is the first question:

I create a user. Mail is sent.

Where can I store the domain so that the invitations go out with the correct DNS?

I have not found it.

Oh yes... Odoo 18

Hi,

To change the domain in the invitation emails in Odoo 18, you need to configure the "web.base.url" parameter. First, activate Developer Mode, Afterward, go to Settings > Technical > System Parameters, search for web.base.url, and update it with the correct domain (e.g., https://yourdomain.com). If the parameter doesn’t exist, create it manually. After saving the change, restart your Odoo instance to ensure the new domain is used for links in outgoing emails, like user invitations.

Hope it helps.

Assuming 172.0.0.1 is a typo any you're actually running on localhost (else, just navigate to Settings -> Technical (requires Developer Mode) -> System Parameters): http://127.0.0.1:8069/odoo/system-parameters --> search for key "web.base.url" and set the value to your liking
